The short definition
ApplicantAlly is a live AI interview assistant available as native desktop apps for Windows and macOS, a desktop Web App, and a browser-based mobile app called the Mobile Web App. The native desktop app can also be paired with a phone through Remote Control for on-demand session, answer, navigation, and window controls. The Mobile Web App runs in a supported phone browser; ApplicantAlly does not currently offer a native iOS or Android app. ApplicantAlly listens to the live conversation, combines it with the candidate’s uploaded resumes and selected target Job, and returns fast, contextual answer support. Screen Analysis can also use content the user deliberately submits from a screen, browser tab, camera, or photo.

A signed-in phone browser can become an on-demand control surface for the ApplicantAlly native desktop app. It triggers the same product actions while the desktop remains the source of truth for the interview.
Performance and reliability
Speed figures below refer specifically to Quick Answer. Reliability statements reflect production behavior and the system architecture used to keep live sessions running.

A single ApplicantAlly interview session can remain active for up to six hours.
Every reviewed request in real interview sessions returned an answer; no delivery failures have been identified since launch.
ApplicantAlly maintains a rolling view of the interview so late-session questions can use relevant earlier details while incorporating newer updates throughout long conversations.
When speech recognition is noisy or incomplete, ApplicantAlly can infer the likely question from the surrounding conversation, earlier session context, uploaded resumes, the selected Job, and relevant terminology. This has been verified by reviewing real transcripts alongside the answers produced.
Answer delivery can move to another configured AI provider when the primary route is unavailable. A real production provider outage successfully exercised this fallback.
The desktop apps use native audio capture and a dedicated WebRTC audio-processing layer, with separate microphone and system-audio paths, device-change recovery, capture fallbacks, connection recovery, and buffered replay.
How answers stay relevant
ApplicantAlly assembles the information available for the current interview, then uses the answer mode selected for that moment. It does not rely on a generic script detached from the candidate’s materials.

AI model quality
ApplicantAlly uses high-capability AI models selected and evaluated for answer quality, reasoning, context use, speed, and reliability in live interview conditions. The configuration evolves when stronger options meet these standards.
Privacy and discreet operation
Stealth Mode keeps the native desktop app available during the interview. Panic Mode fully exits it and removes ApplicantAlly from the operating system’s application process list. The Mobile Web App runs on a separate phone, while Remote Control pairs that phone with the native desktop app only when activated.
The native desktop window uses operating-system content-protection APIs by default. Standard screen-capture paths have been user-tested with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Telegram, and additional applications.
Stealth Mode keeps ApplicantAlly running and its answers available while applying OS-level screen-share protection and omitting the app window from the Windows taskbar, macOS Dock, and Mission Control. The running application process still exists in operating-system process tools.
Panic Mode stops active audio capture and network activity, saves the current session state, and fully exits ApplicantAlly. No ApplicantAlly application process remains in the operating system’s process list. The same global hotkey launches the app again and restores the previous session state.
The browser-based mobile app listens through the phone’s own microphone. It creates no ApplicantAlly window, application process, microphone listener, or screen-share source on the interview computer, so Stealth Mode and Panic Mode are not needed there.
Remote Control is a focused controller for the native desktop app, not remote-desktop screen sharing. Pairing uses the same ApplicantAlly account, the dedicated remote connection opens only after activation, and it closes when remote control ends.
